About Xela

Xela is an artist based out of the American Southwest with a passion for good stories. After attending university and showing in the 2018 UVU Student Art Exhibition, she set her self up space to delve into her paintings.

She currently resides near the shore of Utah Lake with easy access to the mountains and urban-scapes which inspire her. Her body of work includes, plein air, still life, nature-scapes, and mythical creatures, but the largest body of her work is colorful abstraction.

When she is not painting, Xela writes creative genre fiction of both the short story and novel length. She asserts that, “Good art inspires good stories and vice versa. I hope to inspire creativity in whomever takes part in my work.”

Her pieces have been shown at the LTUE Symposium of 2017, 2018 and 2019 as well as featuring in the Essais Journal in 2020. She has expanded her work and improved her craft as a life-long lover of fine art.
